Once renovated, the Earl J. Harrison, Jr. Building will serve as the new Lower School with spaces thoughtfully designed for our youngest learners, such as protected outdoor play areas to meet their needs for activity and exploration. This final step will bring the entire student body — Lower, Middle, and Upper School — together on the DC campus for the first time since the 1960s, creating a fully connected environment for learning, play, and community.
More than 170 named endowed funds provide resources in support of faculty salaries, student financial aid, and special programs. Substantively growing the endowment would ensure the School’s long-term financial health and enable us to rely less on tuition to deliver a high-quality education.
The Sidwell Friends Fund enables us to extend and enrich learning beyond what tuition and the endowment alone can provide. Gifts to the Fund have a meaningful impact on each year’s highest priorities including financial aid, faculty professional development, and engaging student experiences. Your annual support is included as part of this comprehensive campaign.
